PLI has a reputation as the most exclusive ESL school in Canada, and is known throughout the world for its top quality instructors and exceptional facilities. We offer year-round quality English programs for adults who wish to improve their English for career or business reasons, or who need to learn English to enter colleges and universities in Canada and the United States. We are located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and Toronto, close to art galleries, museums, theatres, libraries, waterfront markets and all major transportation lines. Our premises are new and modern. Each classroom is equipped with textbooks, dictionaries, reference books, tape recorders and VCRs for students to use. Our fully-equipped Computer Lab offers the latest software programs, as well as free access to the internet and email. We offer eight levels of Communication Skills classes, from beginner to advance. All students studying 20 or more hours per week have the choice of taking Specific Skills Options classes depending on their level. Other programs offered include IELTS, TEFL, TOEFL and TOEIC preparation, Business English, Diploma in Business Communication, English Internship, University and College Preparation and an Academic Year of 32 to 36 weeks. PLI has established formal agreements with selected Canadian universities and colleges. Students from a specified PLI level can enter without a TOEFL score, and often without an application fee.
