Glenbow Museum - Calgary
Western Canada’s largest museum highlights many aspects of western life through paintings and cultural artifacts collected over many years. The section on Native life and culture is truly outstanding. One of the highlights is the Blackfoot teepee in the Nitsitapiisinni: “our way of life” gallery. Numerous other exhibits focus on the social and cultural history of the west, displaying a wide-ranging and eclectic collection of items. The section on religious art is a beautiful and unexpected pleasure.
