Canada Olympic Park – Alberta
Located just 15 minutes from downtown Calgary, and situated at the gateway to the Rocky Mountains. As the premiere site of the XV Olympic Winter Games in Calgary, Canada Olympic Park is perhaps the most visible legacy of the 1988 Games to visitors and Calgary alike - truly a one-of-a-kind attraction. Calgary's premiere recreational and sport learning centre is unique from most Olympic venues in that it continues to function as a multi-purpose competition; training and recreation area designed for year-round use by both athletes and the general public. In the winter, Canada Olympic Park is home to more than 290,000 ski and snowboard visits, and features lessons and programs for people of all ages and abilities. C.O.P. also offers introductory programs for the public to experience the sports of bobsleigh, skeleton and luge.
