Calgary Zoo
This is one of North America’s premier zoos. It offers a full day’s experience in several different areas. Each of which aims to recreate the animals’ natural habitat as much as possible throughout the park, and the animals themselves, which are the most compelling reason to visit. Australian animals, nocturnal animals, big mammals and the new Destination Africa make for enthralling view. The Canadian Wilds section is the surest place to see a grizzly bear on a visit to Alberta. The zoo has a year-round calendar of special events, from spring flower festivals to “boo and the zoo”, a Halloween event.
